GNC Engineer - Dallas, TX

Guidance and Control (GNC) Engineer to support missile and fire control system design, development, integration and test.

• Design, develop, and deploy embedded algorithms for inertial tracking, inertial navigation and sensor fusion.
• Develop, verify and validate complex models and simulations using match filters, convolutional neural networks, and related techniques.
• Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments; verify system and subsystem level requirements.
• Perform critical studies, analyses and test activities supporting ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HWIL) activities.
• Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics or similar STEM degree and 1+ years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship;
  Interim Secret clearance required at start.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaborative work environment.
• Experience in software development environments (Git) using MATLAB, Python, C++, FORTRAN or Ada.
• Solid foundation in linear algebra, dynamics, coordinate frame transformations and state estimation techniques.

Desired

Skills:

• Experience with a Linux‑based operating system.
• Familiarity with linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics and rotating coordinate systems.
• Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in HWIL.
• Prior experience supporting flight tests.
• Ability to travel up to two weeks to White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico; experience in air and missile defense, development and testing required.

Secret clearance with Investigation or Current Validity within 5 years. US Citizenship required.
