The Dallas-based Technology Consulting team is looking for a Senior Technology Systems Designer with experience in one or more of the following disciplines: telecommunications, security systems, or audiovisual design. Key Responsibilities- Support the development and coordination of technology systems designs across multiple project types and industries
- Produce design documentation including layouts, schematics, specifications, narratives, and calculations using CAD and BIM platforms
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Perform site visits, field surveys, and existing-condition assessments to support design implementation
- Assist with feasibility studies, technical evaluations, gap analyses, and due diligence reporting
- Develop an understanding of system applications, operational sequences, and performance criteria for integrated technology systems
- Coordinate multidisciplinary designs and ensure alignment across engineering and architectural teams
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control reviews for project deliverables
- Support construction administration activities including RFIs, change orders, bulletins, submittals, and field reports
- Contribute to project scheduling, workload planning, and budget coordination alongside senior staff
- Maintain drawing standards and documentation consistency across projects
- Provide support across telecom, AV, IT, and security systems as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- 5–7 years of experience designing audiovisual, telecommunications, IT, or security systems across sectors such as data centers, healthcare, aviation, corporate interiors, education, or entertainment venues
- Strong written communication, coordination, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of structured cabling systems and active network infrastructure
- Familiarity with wireless network design concepts, including Wi-Fi coverage and heat mapping
- Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with Revit and BIM workflows preferred
- Industry certifications such as CTS, CTS‑D, RCDD, CCNA, CCNP, CPP, PSP, CISSP, PMP, or PE designation are considered advantageous
