What You Will Be DoingThe selected candidate will use systematic, science‑based techniques, analytical methods, simulation, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision‑making processes. This position will require frequent collaboration with team members and engineers in other disciplines. As part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Operations Analysis team, the candidate will participate in analysis to support requirements definitions, concept of operations (CONOPS) evaluation, and operational effectiveness studies to help shape and influence future capabilities of the warfighter.
These impactful studies quantify the effects of payloads, weapons and tactics on survivability and mission effectiveness.
- Participating in analysis and study plans based on critical questions/problem statements
- Applying engineering‑based techniques, problem‑solving methods, and critical thinking
- Researching and learning military systems, military operations, and military tactics
- Simulation, Modeling and Analysis (MS&A) of military systems and scenarios in digital environments
- Analyzing simulation results using data analytics to help draw meaningful conclusions
- Participating in trade studies and performing statistical analysis
- Participating in research efforts and learning analytical techniques with research methodologies
- Applying decision analysis methods to evaluate current and future programs

Location:
Dallas, Texas (Onsite full‑time)
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Scripting and data processing experience (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates must be able to obtain a top‑secret clearance upon employment and maintain it within sufficient time to meet business needs
- Active DoD clearance
- Operations Research (OR) experience or experience in computer‑based analytical tools
- Modeling and simulation experience
- Software development experience (C++, Git) and familiarity with Linux OS
- Experience with data analytics, data science, and data visualization
- Good understanding of statistical concepts, such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis
- Advanced degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university
