The Opportunity
Flock Safety is looking for a Product Deployment Specialist to join our Product Deployment team. The Product Deployment team is composed of individuals who are results-driven, detail-oriented and combine a great work ethic with critical thinking to install products that delight our customers and drive our shift to be a multi-product company.
A day in the life of this role might involve traveling to install pilot devices for a new product, providing feedback on new engineering hardware concepts, and working with the Device team to solve issues in the field. You’ll be at the forefront of surveying, deploying, and maintaining cutting-edge drone systems that support public safety agencies. You’ll support the technical aspects of DFR (Drone as First Responder) deployments, primarily focused on hardware installation, ensuring each project is executed smoothly and to high standards.
You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and external vendors to optimize deployment processes and help scale the DFR program.
The ideal candidate has field experience as a technician with familiarity in product operations and demonstrated leadership. The role requires action-orientation with strong field work and problem-solving skills.
Required Availability: Work hours are Monday to Friday with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
Travel: 80% travel required. Expect to be on the road 3–4 days per week performing activities across the US.

- Support field initiatives to bring products to market and scale the DFR program, including hardware installation and troubleshooting of various components within the deployment ecosystem
- Collaborate with diverse teams (engineering, project management, third-party vendors) to ensure successful deployments
- Monitor and document the status of work in the field and in the lab
- Proficiency with assembly, mounting, and troubleshooting of license-plate reading cameras, video cameras, and gunshot detection devices
- Work with a bucket truck and/or ladder to work on equipment up to 30’ high
- Provide installation pictures via Flock field app
- Perform work in a safe and professional manner
- Meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers
- Install poles of varying lengths per install specifications with holes dug to a minimum of 8” x 24”
- Prior fieldwork experience; experience in construction, security systems, low voltage wiring, or similar is a plus
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role, providing on-site or remote technical support during deployments
- Understanding of hardware troubleshooting for drones, docking stations, radar, and other deployed technology
- Knowledge of FAA Part 107 regulations for drone operations, safety protocols, airspace classifications, and compliance
- Strong project management and written/verbal communication skills
- Must be 21+ to rent a vehicle from providers
- Willingness to be trained to operate and drive a bucket truck and other heavy equipment; willing to drive a company vehicle
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
- Desire to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
