Our client is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support the successful execution of large-scale, complex ground-up construction projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working for a General Contractor on commercial construction projects and a strong interest in pursuing a long-term career in project management.
Experience supporting projects within occupied environments such as airport terminals, aviation facilities, healthcare campuses, data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other highly phased and operational facilities is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities- Support Project Managers and Superintendents throughout all phases of construction.
- Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Assist with project scheduling, procurement, and material tracking.
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for completeness and constructability.
- Maintain project logs and ensure timely distribution of project information.
- Participate in OAC meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and cost control efforts.
- Support quality control and project closeout activities.
- Help ensure compliance with safety standards, project procedures, and client requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience with a General Contractor as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Assistant Project Engineer.
- Experience on ground-up commercial construction projects required.
- Experience working on large, complex projects valued at $50M+ preferred.
- Experience in occupied airport terminals, aviation facilities, healthcare, mission-critical, or similarly complex environments strongly preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar construction software is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
