CoMET Department Manager

The mission of a Staff Engineer for Chelliah Consultants, Inc. dba HVJ, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction through preparation of detailed calculations, performing engineering analyses, and completing field assignments. Main areas of responsibilities include:

• Field and/or Lab Assignments
• Contribute to project document deliverables
• Assisting Project Managers in Business Development

• Timeliness/Punctuality
• Participation in Professional Organizations
• Career Development (Relevant In-house Training)

• Obtain PE license within 5 years

• MSCE (or BSCE with two to five years of directly related geotechnical experience).
• Registered EIT
• Excellent written and communication skills and strong math and science skills.
• Valid Texas Driver License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses and valid right to work documents.
• Complete defensive driving courses and obtain certificates before driving company vehicles and repeat as necessary.
