We are seeking a talented and motivated MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Engineer to join our growing team in Dallas, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, and mixed‑use projects within a collaborative architecture or engineering environment. Whether you are a licensed Professional Engineer or an Engineer‑in‑Training working toward licensure, we want to hear from you.
For the right candidate, we are pleased to offer a comprehensive relocation package.
- Design and engineer MEP systems for commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, and/or mixed‑use projects from concept through construction documents.
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports in accordance with applicable codes and standards (IBC, ASHRAE, NEC, IPC, etc.).
- Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural disciplines, both internally and with external consultants, to ensure integrated, clash‑free designs.
- Conduct site surveys, existing condition assessments, and field observations during construction phases.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while meeting budget and schedule requirements.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD/BIM technicians.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to address RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Stay current with local Dallas/Fort Worth building codes, energy codes, and utility requirements.
- Contribute to business development efforts including proposals, presentations, and client relationship management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with MEP focus), or a closely related discipline from an ABET‑accredited program.
- 3+ years of MEP engineering experience within an A/E or engineering consulting environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least one MEP discipline (Mechanical HVAC/Plumbing or Electrical/Lighting/Power) with working knowledge of the others.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit MEP and/or AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM coordination workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas – or the ability to obtain reciprocity promptly.
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) / Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification with an active path toward PE licensure.
- Experience working in Dallas–Fort Worth or a comparable high‑growth Sun Belt market.
- Familiarity with energy modeling tools (eQUEST, IES‑VE, Energy Plus) or commissioning processes.
- Knowledge of LEED, WELL, or other sustainability rating systems.
- Prior experience with healthcare, data center, or higher‑education project types.
