Lead the Systems That Keep Critical Infrastructure RunningAt FST Technical Services, we ensure the most complex facilities operate exactly as intended. Our Commissioning division partners with clients across data centers and mission‑critical environments to validate that systems are designed, installed, and performing at the highest level.
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer who brings deep technical expertise, field leadership, and the ability to drive outcomes in high‑performance environments.

This is a position for someone who:
- Owns system performance from design through execution
- Understands how complex mechanical systems operate as a whole
- Can identify and solve issues before they impact operations
You will work on large‑scale, mission‑critical data center projects where performance, reliability, and precision are non‑negotiable.
What You will Do- Lead commissioning activities across the full lifecycle
- Execute functional testing, witness testing, and system validation
- Manage assignments within schedule, budget, and quality expectations
- Evaluate HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, and automation systems
- Troubleshoot system performance issues
- Lead meetings and communicate findings
- Build relationships with clients and contractors
- Complete reports and manage time and expenses
- Mentor junior engineers and support training
- Degree in HVACR, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years experience or 3+ years commissioning
- Data center experience required
- Experience with HVAC, controls, automation, fire safety systems
- Ability to read construction documents
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in field environments and lift 30 lbs
- EIT, CEM, OSHA 30, BIM experience
Travel to project sites as needed based on project demands.
