Project Engineer - Plastics

PROJECT ENGINEER – PLASTIC MOLDING OPERATIONS

Looking for a role where you can make an immediate impact and take ownership of key plant‑level systems and process improvements? This Manufacturing Engineer position supports injection molding, extrusion, and post‑mold operations with a focus on workflow, equipment validation, and various other continuous improvement projects.

• Lead workflow and line layout improvements in molding and downstream operations, with a focus on labeling, packaging, and vibration welding readiness.
• Manage tooling projects, working directly with vendors to coordinate builds, refurbishments, and changes.
• Lead validation activities related to machinery, equipment, and process implementation.
• Support improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies with a hands‑on approach to problem solving.
• Collaborate across departments to improve process flow and documentation from molding through final assembly.
• Support the Controls Engineer and Process Engineer.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• Background in injection molding or extrusion preferred.
• Vibratory welding experience preferred.
• Experience establishing and improving line layouts and process flows using Lean tools.
• Familiarity with CMMS and MES systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and review CAD files related to injection mould tooling (design preparation not required).
