About the role

MIINC Mechanical is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. This role serves as a critical link between project management and field operations, helping ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and successfully. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and committed to supporting both project teams and field personnel through effective communication, coordination, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities
  • Support one or more Project Managers and the Project Executive while working closely with field teams and Superintendents.
  • Manage and track material procurement, deliveries, and logistics to support project schedules and field operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of project requirements.
  • Monitor material pricing, quantities, and procurement records to maintain cost accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct daily progress inspections and maintain productivity tracking reports.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to field teams, helping remove obstacles and improve project execution.
  • Assist with project controls, scheduling, documentation, change orders, risk mitigation, and cash flow tracking.
  • Maintain accurate project records, correspondence, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
  • Identify and address project challenges through proactive planning and collaboration.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and servant leadership in support of project success.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Ideally 2–5 years of experience in project management, project engineering, or project coordination, preferably supporting commercial or industrial HVAC, plumbing, piping, prefabrication, or mechanical construction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Sage 100, scheduling software, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Close collaboration with project management and field leadership teams.
  • Availability outside standard working hours is required during critical project phases.
  • Exposure to large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects.
