Job Summary
HDR is seeking a Site Civil EIT/Coordinator to support our Building Engineering Services Group in designing site development projects across multiple building sectors.
Responsibilities- Assist on tasks associated with design and plan production for site development projects (layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, site utilities, etc.).
- Develop concept site layouts that are compliant with all jurisdictional requirements.
- Help prepare site civil engineering calculations in support of site development (stormwater pond sizing, culvert and pipe capacity analysis, hydrology calculations, etc.).
- Coordinate with jurisdictional authority to determine design and submittal requirements and design solutions.
- Perform administrative tasks related to preparation of specifications, contract documents, and permit submittals.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Coordinate with subconsultants for support and design services.
- Embrace continuous learning and professional growth in site civil design.

- Communicate effectively with managers and team members.
- Mentor junior staff and delegate appropriate tasks.
- Manage time and organization of multiple tasks/projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Autodesk Civil 3D and specialty site civil engineering software (e.g., HydroCAD, Autodesk Hydraflow Extensions, etc.) as required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Bluebeam Revu.
- Bachelor's degree.
