Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Registered Professional Land Surveyor. This role is responsible for supporting a variety of surveying and mapping projects across public and private sectors, working collaboratively with field crews and engineering teams to deliver accurate, high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with survey crews and technicians to deliver high-quality survey and mapping services, including:
- Boundary & Land Title Surveys (ALTA/NSPS, TSPS Categories 1A & 1B)
- Topographic & Improvement Surveys
- Subdivision Platting
- Construction Staking
- GPS Control
- Easement Preparation & Right-of-Way Delineation
- Condominium & Tree Location Surveys
- Review deeds, easements, and plats for boundary analysis
- Prepare and produce survey deliverables using Civil 3D and CAD software
- Operate and apply surveying technology, including GPS and robotic total stations
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior staff, as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Active RPLS license in the State of Texas
- 2+ years of experience as an RPLS/LSLS in Texas
- 5+ years of PLS experience within the United States
- Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and equipment
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools
- Ability to interpret legal documents (deeds, plats, easements)
- Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or a related field
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (including metes & bounds descriptions)
- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
Physical Requirements
- Combination of office and field work
- Ability to travel to project sites and meetings
- Capability to navigate active construction environments
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $58.00/hr.
