Industrial Engineer Sr. For the Industrial Engineering team. Our team is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs, with a strong emphasis on analytical skills to drive data-driven decision making.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Industrial Engineer Sr., you will lead space-planning initiatives across our manufacturing footprint and drive cross-functional projects that improve productivity, elevate quality, and eliminate waste. You will be the go-to champion for scaling production while optimizing factory layout and implementing lean principles.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Redesign shop-floor layouts – Partner with the shop-floor Industrial Engineering team to re-configure cell layouts, optimize material flow, and position equipment for maximum utilization and throughput.
• Scale production capacity
  - Develop and implement layout strategies that accommodate projected volume growth while maintaining optimal space utilization and minimal bottlenecks.
• Lead lean-performance initiatives – identify waste, run Kaizen events, and apply 5S, cellular manufacturing, and pull-system principles to continuously improve flow.
• Manage cross-functional implementation – coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety to schedule moves, verify clearances, and track performance improvements.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
- This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Desired skills

- Familiarity with Lean, Six-Sigma, or other continuous-improvement methodologies
- Experience leading plant-wide layout initiatives and translating concepts into executable implementation plans
- Proficiency with predetermined motion-time systems (PMTS), work sampling, direct time-study, and other techniques for establishing standard times
- Familiarity with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) and MES/OEE systems
- Experience building discrete-event simulation models (Arena, Simul8, Flex Sim, SIMIO) to evaluate layout alternatives and capacity scenarios
- Ability to manage timelines, resources, and milestones for multi-disciplinary projects
