Job Overview

We are seeking a strong‑willed and results‑driven Environmental Engineer to join our team and support our growth.
Key Job Responsibilities- Support regulatory reporting in areas such as Title V compliance, emissions inventory, NESHAPs, SPCC, Tier II, Toxic Release Inventory, waste summaries, wastewater periodic compliance reports, DMRs, P2, etc. by compiling necessary data, documentation, and correspondence.
- Support the ISO 14001 environmental management system through auditing, root cause analysis, procedure development and coordination with other departments.
- Perform area and equipment inspections at our Dallas and Mansfield Texas facilities and report information about process and environmental equipment.
- Gather and report to corporate headquarters and Hensley management environmental parameters such as CO2 generation, waste generation and water use. Respond to requests for information relevant to environmental issues from work groups inside and outside the company.
- Evaluate ways to improve environmental metrics. Develop recommendations for environmental processes/programs/equipment to meet and improve the environmental compliance program and EMS.
- Support Hensley’s Environmental Justice, ESG and CSR programs.
- Support evaluation of new raw materials to determine permitting, reporting, and metrics implications.
- Develop and deliver relevant and effective training to Hensley employees on environmental topics. Provide work direction to foundry employees concerning environmental requirements.
- Respond to emergency situations that could occur inside or outside of standard working hours.
- Monitor regulatory changes and evaluate how those changes will affect operations.
- Monitor environmental pollution control equipment and propose improvements.
- Support programs to document product compliance with regulations such as REACH, Prop
65, etc. - Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering (and 5+ years of related experience) or Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science (and 7+ years of experience) or Master’s degree (with 3+ years of related experience). Experience must include air pollution control and air permit compliance.
- Computer related skills for reporting, SAP, database management, internet/intranet use, and typical Microsoft Office related programs.
- Ability to read and interpret federal, state, and local environmental regulations and to identify compliance requirements from permits and regulations.
- High degree of verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with upper management, employees, contractors, and regulators.
- Professional certification such as EIT, REM, REP, P.E., CHMM, or QEP preferred.
- The position is on-site (not a remote work role) and includes hands‑on activities within the foundry environment.
