Overview

Senior Hydrogeologist / Senior Project Manager - Environmental Consulting
. Open to multiple locations. An employee-owned environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist / Senior Project Manager to lead complex and rewarding environmental projects across the U.S. This role offers technical leadership, client-facing responsibilities, and the opportunity to mentor the next generation of hydro geologists/geologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary site investigations, including drilling, aquifer testing, sampling, and well installation.
  • Develop conceptual site models and conduct fate & transport evaluations.
  • Oversee field activities, subcontractors, and H&S compliance.
  • Apply advanced groundwater modeling (MODFLOW, MT3D, EVS, VISTAS, etc.) to support remediation strategies.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, work plans, and SOPs.
  • Mentor junior staff and perform quality control reviews.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in client and regulatory discussions.
  • Support litigation (discovery, affidavits, deposition, trial).
  • Travel up to 30%, including overnight stays.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Hydrogeology, Geology, Hydrology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15-20 years of professional experience in environmental consulting.
  • Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong background in hydrogeologic site characterization, groundwater modeling, and remediation optimization.
  • Familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, and state regulatory programs.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
