Responsibilities
- Design roadway, storm sewer, waterline, wastewater line, and related public works projects
- Develop quality plans, specifications and estimates for multiple projects
- Working on engineering design and coordinating with other technical staff
- Review and evaluate design and construction practices
- Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic reports
- Attend project meetings and work in a team environment or independently
- Facilitate meetings with internal staff and external clients
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program preferred
- Texas Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain license within 6 months or joining
- Four years of experience in transportation and/or general civil design
- Micro Station and AutoCAD experience
- Experience with managing multiple project deadlines
- Experience on TXDOT roadway/highway projects or other DOTs
- Experience municipal street projects (roadway horizontal and vertical alignments, storm sewer design, water/wastewater design, traffic control plans, erosion/ sediment control, pavement marking and signage)
- Experience with GEOPAK and ORD roadway management design
- Understanding of complex transportation design elements Micro Station and/or AutoCAD drafting experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills for preparation of project reports
- Candidates must be capable of working on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, team- oriented environment
