AECOM, the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager for our Dallas, TX office to join our Water Group. This critical role involves managing municipal contracts and overseeing projects related to water and wastewater treatment facilities, sanitary sewer stations, booster pump stations, and transmission or distribution mains.
The Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing rigorous technical oversight of design staff and team members for municipal water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure improvement projects.
- Delivering specialized technical input for studies and designs within the manager's area of expertise.
- Conducting thorough interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Developing precise construction cost estimates and technical effort projections for projects.
- Performing stringent quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
- Preparing comprehensive technical specification sections.
- Formulating and managing engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.
- Offering professional guidance and mentorship to entry and mid-level engineers.
- Executing municipal water quality studies, disinfection protocols, water supply sustainability assessments, and water systems design (including water treatment plants and pump stations).
- Conducting energy evaluations to optimize system efficiency.
- Performing Safe Drinking Water Program audits with meticulous attention to detail.
- Carrying out thorough audits of water treatment plants.
- Analyzing water main replacement needs and conducting water vulnerability and emergency response assessments.
- This position demands a high level of expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring the safety and sustainability of vital water infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Texas P.E. license.
- 10+ years of water/wastewater industry experience.
