Structural Software Integration Engineer
The Structural Software Integration Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert for structural component engineering as it pertains to our True Build® software. They will provide specific technical data for engineering requirements within the software, as well as work with the software team to ensure the software is safe, secure and correct in its engineering components.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Maintain and document knowledge of engineering requirements for trusses and other related manufacturing components.
- Understand and document the engineering components of True Build®, including the technical aspects of engineering equations and algorithms.
- Provide review and approval for engineering components released in the software.
- Research engineering requirements as it relates to structural design and compose detailed technical documentations that can be used to guide software development.
- Coordinate with the True Build® Team to write software requirements for engineering issues in the software.
- Research and reviewing building code releases related to engineering and makes recommendations on development efforts required.
- Gathers and studies engineering information regarding materials and components to be used in production and documents the impact of these materials for software use.
- Tests new products and the engineering components of True Build®.
- Identifies any problems with new products or engineering components within True Build®; makes adjustments to resolve problems.
- Assists with customer engineering requirements as it pertains to software functionality.
- Help translate engineering needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment with system capabilities.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss product flaws in a constructive and positive manner.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with/ability to learn proprietary component manufacturing design software suit (True Build®).
- Proficiency with/ability to learn proprietary company management software (EMS).
- Possess a Warrior's Spirit and a Servant's Heart.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Engineering license required.
- Structural Engineering experience strongly preferred
- Experience with wood components strongly preferred
- Experience with residential or multifamily strongly preferred
- At least seven years of related experience required
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Travel as required
