Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Project Engineer to grow with our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who takes ownership, anticipates project needs, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction. You'll provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and adding value to the business by applying proven project management techniques.
As a Project Engineer on our team in Austin, TX, you'll have an opportunity to work on managing site development, design coordination, and regulatory compliance from the ground up. Key focus areas include medical facility design, regulatory compliance, and construction. Based at a client site, you will oversee that all work completed by contractors and consultants is of the highest quality with safety being our highest priority.
You will also provide support to the Project Manager by developing and maintaining project cost/change controls, project budget, and change order estimates/negotiations. Through this role you will have the opportunity to work on multiple fast-moving projects and larger, long-scheduled projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Supports the full lifecycle from design through construction, focusing on document control, cross-functional coordination, and regulatory compliance
* Design & Technical Coordination:
Support Project Manager with overseeing architectural and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) drawings tailored for clinical environments, ensuring specialized medical gas, infection control, and HVAC requirements are met
* Assist project leadership in driving design coordination, managing submittals/RFIs, ensuring clinical/regulatory compliance, and transitioning a greenfield site into a fully operational healthcare facility
* Design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow, and succeed.
Your role keeps our company connected and we'll support you with what you need to be successful.
* Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering
* 5+ years of experience working on Healthcare Projects
* Knowledge of construction, delivery systems, and components
* Strong organizational capacity and effective communication for working with diverse medical and construction teams
* Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, drive tasks to completion, and exercise sound judgement with limited oversight
* Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic project environment while maintaining attention to detail
