Civil Project Engineer

The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This position bridges the gap between design and construction, ensuring all engineering, technical, and documentation aspects of the project are properly managed. The Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in overall project delivery, including planning, scheduling, and documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve design and technical issues.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and document control processes.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and material tracking reports.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and assist in identifying risks or delays.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain detailed records of discussions and decisions.
• Support field operations by providing technical guidance and ensuring construction aligns with approved plans.
• Track and manage changes to the scope, design revisions, and project deliverables.
• Contribute to project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, turnover packages, and commissioning records.
• Promote and uphold company safety and quality standards throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in construction engineering or project coordination (industrial, commercial, or infrastructure preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and processes.
• Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC, or Primavera.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional project teams.

Working Conditions

• Combination of office and field work depending on project phase.
• Must be able to visit job sites and work in active construction environments.
• Travel will be required depending on project location.
