Facilities Manager

Hum Cap's client is seeking a Facility / EHS Engineer to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing facility infrastructure, environmental health and safety (EHS) programs, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, a proactive approach to safety, and experience managing facility systems and capital improvement projects within a manufacturing setting.

• Manage and maintain facility infrastructure, including HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, water systems, fire protection systems, and other building equipment.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize facility reliability and operational uptime.
• Support facility expansions, equipment installations, and capital improvement projects.
• Monitor facility utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
• Partner with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality, compliance, and timely project completion.
• Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, schedules, and documentation.
• Provide on-call support for facility-related emergencies, including occasional evenings and weekends.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, programs, and procedures.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage hazardous materials, chemical handling processes, and waste disposal programs.
• Maintain environmental permits, licenses, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate emergency response planning, evacuation drills, and business continuity initiatives.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and compliance efforts.
• Exercise authority to stop work or restrict access when safety or environmental risks are identified.
• Analyze facility, environmental, and safety performance metrics.
• Identify and implement improvements that enhance operational efficiency, workplace safety, and environmental performance.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and track corrective and preventive action plans.

• Maintain accurate records related to inspections, maintenance activities, permits, training, and incidents.
• Prepare reports for leadership and regulatory agencies as required.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in facilities engineering, EHS, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
• Knowledge of occupational safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience managing facility utility systems and maintenance programs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Experience with in electronics manufacturing, PCB, EMS, or other high-tech manufacturing environments.
• Professional certifications such as:
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
• OSHA Certifications
• Knowledge of:

• Exposure to manufacturing equipment, chemicals, maintenance activities, and facility improvement projects.
• Occasional travel for training, audits, or regulatory meetings may be required.
