We provide forensic engineering, architectural consulting, expert witness, construction quality assurance, and cost consulting services to the insurance industry, law firms, contractors, and commercial/residential property owners.
Higgins & Associates is seeking a highly motivated Market Lead responsible for strategic leadership, guiding business development, and ensuring technical excellence within the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas market
. Working in collaboration with the Chief Business Officer and CEO, this individual will serve as a client-facing leader, a technical expert in their own right, and as a senior technical authority, overseeing project delivery while advancing the firm’s presence and reputation in the marketplace.
The ideal candidate combines both strong technical expertise with proven business acumen. They bring a deep understanding of engineering principles, a record of successfully delivering complex projects with the ability to translate technical knowledge into clear value for clients, positioning them as a trusted advisor both internally and externally. First-hand experience of construction defect litigation (both plaintiff and defense), insurance evaluations, forensic analysis and the development of repair designs is highly desired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in engineering consulting, including demonstrated success in business development and project leadership.
- A good understanding of residential, commercial, or institutional building design and construction.
- Knowledge of standards of the engineering industry including building codes as well as knowledge of building enclosure design principles.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while remaining detail and quality focused.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information and build rapport with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Blue Beam Revu.
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD is desirable as well as knowledge of Civil3D or other commonly used engineering design and analysis tools.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university in the field of civil, structural or architectural engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Arizona is required.
