We are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Machining Engineer for one of our clients based in Texas. Our client is a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing organization investing heavily in the development of next-generation manufacturing capability. This is a senior engineering opportunity responsible for leading machining process development while supporting the scale-up of complex manufacturing operations.

Working closely with manufacturing, design and quality teams, the successful candidate will provide technical leadership across machining processes, helping to develop robust manufacturing methods, improve process capability and support the introduction of new products into production. The role will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to a junior engineer within the team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the development and optimization of precision machining processes across manufacturing operations
  • Supporting new product introduction through Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and process development activities
  • Designing tooling, fixtures and work holding solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and repeatability
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield and process capability
  • Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve machining and dimensional quality issues
  • Working closely with design, manufacturing and quality engineering teams to develop practical engineering solutions
  • Supporting prototype builds, manufacturing trials and process validation activities
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineering staff while providing technical leadership across the machining function

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering and bring 10+ years of experience within machining, manufacturing or precision engineering environments. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, GD&T, engineering drawings, tooling and fixture design, together with experience using CAD software, ideally Solid Works. Experience with in aerospace, defense, medical devices, semiconductor, automotive or other precision manufacturing environments would be particularly relevant.
