My client is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to support a variety of land development, municipal, transportation, and infrastructure projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role is responsible for performing and overseeing field and office surveying activities, including boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA/NSPS surveys, while working closely with engineers, project managers, clients, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, easement, and construction surveys
  • Conduct field data collection using GPS, robotic total stations, and other survey equipment
  • Complete construction staking and as-built surveys for civil engineering projects.
  • Research deeds, plats, title commitments, and public records to establish property boundaries
  • Process survey data and prepare maps, plats, exhibits, and legal descriptions
  • Coordinate survey activities with project teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with Texas surveying standards and company quality requirements
  • Review survey calculations, field notes, and deliverables for accuracy
  • Support project scheduling, budgeting, and client communication as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of land surveying experience.
  • Texas RPLS license preferred; candidates working toward licensure are encouraged to apply
  • Proficiency with GPS equipment, total stations, and survey data collection systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar software
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, boundary analysis, and construction surveying
