What You’ll Do- Design HVAC systems for highly technical and mission-critical facilities
- Develop plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary, vent, and specialty piping systems
- Support fire protection and controls design efforts
- Perform engineering analyses and ensure compliance with applicable codes and industry standards
- Conduct psychrometric evaluations and review system selection and sizing criteria
- Complete engineering studies, including:
- Cooling and heating load calculations
- Ventilation analysis
- Air balance summaries
- CFD modeling
- Duct static pressure calculations
- Pump head calculations
- Energy optimization and load-curtailment strategies
- Building systems co-simulation
- Produce detailed, coordinated construction documents using Revit and related design software
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, and industry partners
- Participate in technical training, mentorship opportunities, and continuous professional development
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 3-7 years of mechanical design experience, ideally within consulting engineering, MEP, or building systems design
- Experience designing HVAC systems and familiarity with plumbing and fire protection systems
- Revit proficiency and experience producing construction documents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- EIT certification is a plus
- PE license or active pursuit of licensure is highly valued
Experience working on complex facilities such as:
- Data Centers
- Healthcare Facilities
- Laboratories
- Pharmaceutical Facilities
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Industrial Projects
- Other mission-critical environments
Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, Trace 3D Plus, Pipe-Flo, CFD modeling software, or similar engineering analysis platforms is beneficial.
