We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas office as part of our Cities & Places team. Collaborating with our expert architects and engineers, you will be an integral member of the design team and have the opportunity to perform structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects locally, nationally, and around the world.

Structural design efforts will include design for manufacturing, education and healthcare facilities, data centers, planning studies, water and wastewater treatment facilities, technical writing and construction drawing and specification production. You'll be accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality of design deliverables, whether working independently or leading a project team. With our global reach, you'll have access to industry experts around the world and opportunities for national and international travel.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License (PE)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering related to building (or similar structure) design
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading small teams

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • MS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or MS degree in Structural Engineering
  • Structural Engineer License (SE)
  • Experience designing and analyzing steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, cold-formed steel framing, masonry, and wood structures
  • Should be well experienced in gravity and lateral analysis of structures for wind and seismic loads
  • Experience in buildings and general industrial facilities
  • Experience with STAAD, RAM, SAP
    2000, ETABS, or similar general-purpose or component-based structural analysis and design software
  • Experience with Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
