Civil Water Resources Professional Engineer

O'Brien Industries Inc. seeks a Civil Water Resources Professional Engineer to design and support water-related systems for industrial and utility projects. In this role, you will perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, stormwater and drainage design, and prepare plans, specifications, and reports that integrate with custom-fabricated equipment. You'll collaborate with manufacturing and field teams, ensuring reliable, safe, and code-compliant solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of civil water resources systems supporting manufactured equipment and industrial/utility projects
• Develop hydrologic, hydraulic, and stormwater models and prepare detailed engineering calculations and reports
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for fabrication and field installation
• Coordinate closely with fabrication, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure constructible, reliable designs
• Review shop drawings and submittals and provide engineering support during fabrication and installation
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and environmental and safety regulations
• Interface with customers to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical guidance
• Support continuous improvement of design standards, tools, and quality processes within the engineering team
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and scope/estimate development for civil/water components
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters in water resources and civil design best practices
