Heidelberg Materials seeks a Corporate Mine Planning Engineer to support efficient, safe, and sustainable quarry operations across its North American network. In this role, you will develop short- and long-term mine plans, optimize reserves, and model production scenarios using modern planning and 3D modeling tools. Partnering closely with operations, maintenance, and environmental teams, you will align mine designs with safety, regulatory, and business objectives.
This position offers the opportunity to influence capital planning, support key infrastructure projects, and grow your technical and leadership capabilities in a stable, safety-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop short- and long-term mine plans to support corporate production and sustainability goals
- Analyze geological, geotechnical, and quality data to optimize quarry design and reserves utilization
- Model production scenarios, equipment requirements, and sequencing using mine planning software
- Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, and environmental teams to align mine plans with business needs
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all mine designs
- Prepare technical reports, layouts, and presentations for management and permitting agencies
- Support budgeting, capital planning, and cost optimization for quarry operations
- Provide field support during drilling, blasting, and extraction to validate and refine plans
