Professional Engineer

O'Brien Industries Inc. seeks a Professional Engineer to support the design, analysis, and improvement of custom fabricated equipment for industrial and utility markets. In this hands-on role, you'll develop and review engineering drawings, perform calculations, and ensure products meet safety, quality, and code requirements. You will collaborate with fabrication teams and customers to solve complex reliability and durability challenges, support project planning and documentation, and drive continuous improvement in processes and designs.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze fabricated equipment and components for industrial and utility applications
• Develop, review, and approve engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation
• Perform engineering calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Collaborate with fabrication, operations, and quality teams to resolve design and production issues
• Support customer-facing problem solving and provide technical guidance on engineered solutions
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in designs, methods, and processes
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and status reporting for engineering deliverables
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and support safety-focused engineering decisions
