Your impact
We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Entry Level Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings team in Dallas or Fort Worth, TX . As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide.
During your internship, you will be mentored by Professional Engineers while you engage with our clients, evaluate their needs, and develop concept-level plans and solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge and apply it to solving today’s challenges. Your primary responsibilities will focus on supporting engineering calculations, construction drawings, and specifications for our federal clients' projects. You’ll be responsible for providing design calculations and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering) under the guidance of more senior technical staff.
You can expect to d esign building electrical distribution systems, lighting, grounding, power, and equipment connections all while building your competency in software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, AGI
32, and others.
We’ll rely on you to provide support to our teams on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion as you bring fresh ideas to the table. You’ll work alongside professional engineers and designers, gaining exposure to project coordination, relevant computer-assisted engineering software, data collection and so much more. You’ll also take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD
- EIT or ability to obtain upon hire
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- 3.0 GPA
- Previous internship with an engineering or consulting firm or governmental agency focused on power distribution/ building design
- Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD

The base salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $95,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
