Mechanical BIM Specialist H & G Systems | Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, TX Full-Time | Primarily In-Office $30.00-$50.00/Hour Based on Experience Design the Systems That Bring Buildings to Life

We're seeking a Mechanical BIM Specialist to help support large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, and mission-critical construction projects across North Texas. This position is primarily based in-office within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Limited hybrid flexibility may be available after successful completion of onboarding and training, based on project demands and performance.
What You'll DoAs a Mechanical BIM Specialist, you'll work alongside Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and field teams to create the coordinated models and construction documents that drive successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed HVAC, piping, and plumbing BIM models for commercial construction projects
- Create shop drawings, installation drawings, and fabrication-ready documentation
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Convert engineering designs, sketches, and field information into accurate digital models
- Support clash detection, coordination, and constructability reviews
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings with internal teams and project stakeholders
- Perform field verification, measurements, and existing condition documentation as needed
- Assist fabrication and prefabrication processes through model development and detailing
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve design conflicts and field challenges
- Maintain model accuracy throughout project life cycles

Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of experience in BIM modeling, CAD drafting, MEP coordination, mechanical design, or commercial construction documentation
- Experience developing construction drawings and detailed digital models
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit
- Experience using AutoCAD and Navisworks
- Experience with Autodesk Fabrication MEP and CAD-MEP
- Understanding of commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems
- Experience with clash detection and BIM coordination workflows
- Commercial construction or MEP industry experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Associate's degree, technical certification, or related education preferred but not required
- Monday-Friday
- 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- One-hour lunch break
- Overtime opportunities available based on project needs
