  • Lead execution of medium-capex facility construction projects from initiation through closeout
  • Direct and/or perform engineering and project management activities for company assets, including transmission and gathering systems, measurement and regulation facilities, compressor and pump stations, dehydration plants, NGL fractionation, natural gas processing, and hydrocarbon storage facilities
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party contractors to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, milestone plans, and timelines
  • Establish and manage project contracts and purchase orders and ensure work follows those agreements
  • Manage third-party contract resources
  • Support equipment and system design, pipeline sizing and evaluation, pipeline control, and facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance
  • Perform process safety activities
  • Prepare bid proposals, contracts, AFEs, cost management materials, management-of-change documentation, material and equipment specifications, construction plans, progress reports, and other project reports
  • Manage change orders
  • Identify equipment efficiencies, complete hydraulic calculations, determine valve and pipeline sizing, and perform gas flow analysis
  • Research, analyze, prepare, and/or approve engineering studies, regulations, codes, standards, pipeline and measurement system analyses, bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, and material specifications
  • Recommend improvements related to asset capacity, operating costs, system operation, station capacity, measurement accuracy, and downstream reporting systems
  • Evaluate proposed projects through load studies and economic analysis
  • Support potential new projects, operational estimates, equipment efficiency assessments, enhancements, definitive studies, and potential acquisitions
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and assist with implementing new processes
  • Travel to other locations as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related field
  • 10+ years of experience required by the job summary
  • Seven or more years of experience in engineering, operations and/or project management is typically required at this level
  • Experience and knowledge of engineering design and criteria for natural gas and/or NGLs in pipeline systems
  • Experience in facilities projects and automation technical work in the Midstream or Oil & Gas sectors
  • Experience with ASME B314, DOT pipeline, and 195 regulations
  • Experience with engineering design, construction, operation, and maintenance of pipelines or hydrocarbon processing facilities
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, and similar applications
  • Experience preparing project materials, design specifications, contracts, agreements, budgets, engineering studies, reports, forms, and correspondence
  • Knowledge of material failure, structural analysis, industry standards, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, and load studies
  • Ability to analyze and resolve engineering design and calculation issues
  • Ability to review complex engineering drawings and material
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
  • Ability to plan and organize projects through completion
  • Ability to apply mathematics, algebraic formulas, and statistical methods
  • Effective interaction, negotiation, advising, and communication abilities
