Job Summary

Responsibilities- Maintain the safety and security of staff, artists, vendors, and guests.
- Provide a positive and uplifting experience for diverse groups of individuals.
- Recognize and greet Foundation Members, Live Nation Executives, and VIPs to show appreciation.
- Act as a resource for members regarding their experience both within the Foundation Room and House of Blues.
- Assist members with reservation timing and coordinate with management, chef, bartender, and server regarding member arrivals.
- Observe Lounge and Podium areas to uphold ambiance and ensure safety.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively remove hazards.
- Prevent and resolve altercations, enforce staff and guest conduct, and maintain order.
- Lead guests and team members in emergency evacuation procedures.
- Verify identification for guests under 30 consuming alcohol and monitor underage visitors.
- Screen guests with metal detectors or pat‑downs and enforce policy on prohibited items.
- Enforce House policies regarding photos/videos/recording devices and safeguard against theft and property damage.
- Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights; maintain constant contact throughout shift.
- Set up area before opening (stanchions, table configuration, etc.).
- Maintain venue cleanliness and safety by removing spills, trash, and obstacles.
- Attend mandatory pre‑shift meetings with Manager on Duty.
Required:
- State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement, responsible alcohol awareness training certification or equivalent.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work late hours.
- Minimum 3 years of experience interacting positively with people.
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English.
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of high‑end restaurant operations, seating procedures, guest relations, and problem solving.
- Strong diplomatic skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, excellent verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to diffuse potentially volatile situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms.
- Bi‑lingual.
- Cash handling experience.
- Experience recognizing valid ’s.
- Live music environment experience.
- Self‑defense training.
- Experience using metal detection equipment.
The environment is fast‑paced, often loud and stressful. The position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet both indoors and outdoors. The role also requires the ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
