Game & 3D/XR Development
We're looking for a Dallas-based Game Producer who can turn project goals into clear, actionable plans and keep multidisciplinary teams moving toward them. Because this role works directly alongside our development teams and helps guide their day-to-day work, regular in-office participation is required.
About DevhouseDevhouse is a game development studio based in Dallas, Texas. We work across a wide range of game projects, platforms, and genres, bringing together design, art, engineering, production, and QA to solve problems as one team.
We're looking for a Game Producer who can turn project goals into clear, actionable plans and keep multidisciplinary teams moving toward them. This is not a role focused solely on updating schedules, running meetings, or reporting status. The right person will actively create clarity, anticipate problems, facilitate decisions, and take ownership of delivery from concept through completion.
About the RoleAs a Game Producer at Devhouse, you'll work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope, and at the appropriate quality level.
You’ll build and maintain project plans, but your larger responsibility is understanding what the team needs to make meaningful progress. That means identifying risks early, resolving blockers, coordinating across disciplines, and making sure decisions result in clear ownership and follow-through.
You’ll also serve as a primary point of contact for clients. You'll need to communicate progress honestly, understand the goals behind their feedback, and help the team find practical solutions when priorities, constraints, or project needs change.
What You'll Do- Translate project goals, requirements, and constraints into clear production plans.
- Establish milestones, schedules, priorities, dependencies, and ownership across the project.
- Coordinate designers, artists, engineers, QA analysts, and other contributors to keep work aligned.
- Lead productive planning, stand-up, review, and retrospective meetings with clear outcomes and next steps.
- Monitor progress and proactively address blockers, unclear requirements, and competing priorities.
- Identify project risks early and work with the team to develop practical mitigation plans.
- Manage team bandwidth and help allocate resources based on project priorities and business needs.
- Maintain a clear understanding of project scope, budget, timeline, and overall health.
- Partner with QA to evaluate issues, determine urgency, and ensure important items reach resolution.
- Serve as a primary client contact, providing clear updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
- Help clients and internal teams understand the impact of requested changes on scope, budget, quality, and schedule.
- Maintain useful project documentation, including schedules, decisions, reports, forecasts, and postmortems.
- Adapt production practices to the needs of each team and project rather than following a process for its own sake.
- Ensure important conversations turn into decisions, owners, and follow-through.
- At least two years of professional experience in game production, project management, or a closely related role.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing work across multiple disciplines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain clarity across changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to identify risks, facilitate decisions, and address problems before they threaten delivery.
- Experience managing project schedules, scope, resources, and budgets.
- Confidence communicating directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience using project-management and documentation tools such as , Jira, Confluence, Notion, or similar platforms.
- A practical understanding of game development workflows and the relationships between design, art, engineering, production, and QA.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Experience working with Unity, Unreal Engine, UEFN, or other game-development tools is a plus.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You- Treat the project’s outcome as your responsibility, not just its…
