Russell Tobin & Associates is currently recruiting for a Residential Mortgage Asset Manager to join up with our client, a Fortune 100 Bank out of downtown Dallas. This position will be responsible for maintaining and executing strategies for the firm's residential whole loans and MSR portfolios.
In the role, you’ll manage third-party servicers, monitor loan performance, and develop strategies to optimize portfolio results. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and maximize asset value. This role requires a strong understanding of loan servicing, loss mitigation, foreclosure timelines, and REO management within the residential mortgage space.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact for third-party servicers, guiding performance and operational strategy
- Oversee day-to-day management of the mortgage loan portfolio, including monitoring performance, identifying risks, and driving resolution of complex cases
- Review and approve asset-level decisions for loss mitigation, foreclosures, and REO properties
- Collaborate with analytics, finance, legal, and compliance teams to track portfolio performance and create actionable insights
- Conduct periodic reviews of servicer operations and provide recommendations for improvement
- Ensure timely handling of high-risk or escalated assets
- Minimum 3+ years of experience is residential mortgage servicing, loss mitigation, foreclosure, or REO asset management (Residential Mortgage experience a MUST)
- Bachelors Degree required
- Strong knowledge of loan servicing operations, loss mitigation programs, and foreclosure/REO processes
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communicator with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
- $100,000 - $125,000 Base Salary (+ discretionary performance bonus)
