** The
** Payroll Specialist
** is responsible for accurately processing and managing payroll for US employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, with problem solving, multi-tasking and work in a fast paced environment.
** Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
*** Payroll processing in Workday
* Manage end-to-end payroll process on a Semi-Monthly basis for 700+ (Non-exempt and Exempt) employees
* Accurately input and review employee data changes, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, tax with holdings and deductions
* Process garnishments, levies, and other Involuntary deductions.
* Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Assist with Year-end payroll processing of W2s and 1099s
* Participate in payroll audits and compliance reviews
* Work with the wider Finance and HR team to ensure all payroll inputs are gathered in a timely manner and processed appropriately.
* Knowledge of payroll taxes including federal, state and local
* Review and resolve all payroll tax communications, including liaising with tax agencies with regards to penalties, waivers and tax clearances
* Work with federal, state and local agencies to set up new accounts as needed.
** Qualification &
Experience:
*** 5+ years payroll processing experience
* Multi state payroll processing experience is a must
* Stay up to date on payroll regulations and best practices
* Understanding of federal, State and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements
* Proficient in Excel, outlook and other Microsoft software’s.
* Well organized and attention to detail
* Analytical and good at problem solving
* Ability to meet strict deadlines
* Ability to be self-motivated and diligent in own work.
* Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
* To maintain strict confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human resources, or a related field.
* Experience with Workday preferred.
** Salary**: $70,000-$80,000
