Overview
We are seeking a Senior Underwriter to independently evaluate and manage complex bridge financing transactions within our private credit platform. This role involves performing in-depth financial and credit analysis, assessing risk, supporting investment committee decisions, and serving as a key liaison between the fund and borrower management teams. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, time-sensitive credit environments.
SeniorUnderwriter Responsibilities
- Underwrite and evaluate short-term bridge financing opportunities for private and public companies
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and credit risk across varied loan structures
- Prepare detailed investment memos with clear recommendations for approval, decline, or revised terms
- Assess and structure loan term sheets, pricing, and risk mitigants in time-sensitive situations
- Manage and monitor an active loan portfolio, identifying risks and performance trends
- Collaborate with internal teams and communicate underwriting decisions to senior stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of underwriting or credit investment experience
- Background in private credit, private equity, or commercial lending at a small or regional bank
- Strong financial analysis, modeling, and credit judgment skills
- Experience underwriting short-term or structured loan products
- Ability to enforce underwriting policies and investment committee decisions
