A fast-growing retirement advisory firm serving small and mid-sized businesses is seeking an Investment Content Writer & Strategist to join its investment team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong investment or capital markets background who enjoys translating complex market and portfolio concepts into clear, actionable insights for internal and external audiences.
This is not a marketing role and does not involve client presentations. Instead, you’ll be embedded with investment professionals and play a key role in shaping how investment insights are communicated across the organization.
What You’ll Do- Attend internal and external investment meetings and synthesize key portfolio, market, and macroeconomic insights
- Write internal weekly market briefings covering economic, geopolitical, and capital markets developments
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual market outlooks and updates
- Develop in-depth reports and white papers on investment strategy, asset allocation, and market trends
- Translate industry narratives and internal discussions into clear written communication for internal teams
- Create educational investment content supporting advisors and plan sponsors
- Partner closely with investment, client experience, sales, and leadership teams
- Help identify content opportunities that improve clarity, reduce complexity, and support advisor efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, communications, journalism, or related field
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and macroeconomic concepts
- Proven experience writing about investments, capital markets, or portfolio strategy
- Experience with in investment advisory, asset management, or financial services environments preferred
- Ability to simplify complex financial ideas for non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- CFA, CFP, or CAIA a plus
- Be deeply embedded with an investment team, not a marketing department
- Work at a high-growth firm with significant assets under management
