Busy season has a way of making you reflective.
You’re deep in returns. Review notes are flying around. Everyone’s head is down.
And somewhere in the back of your mind you’re thinking
“Is this what the next five years looks like?”
This Dallas based CPA and Wealth Advisory firm offers something different.
They do not just prepare returns. They sit alongside clients. Tax, accounting, and financial planning all under one roof. Conversations are long term. Decisions are thought through. Clients stay for years.
They are hiring a Tax Senior who wants to step into something broader than production work.
Yes, you will review federal and state returns across individuals, partnerships, and businesses. That foundation matters.
But you will also:
- Work directly with clients as a trusted contact
- Sit in on planning discussions with Wealth Advisors
- Understand how tax strategy connects to investments and long term financial goals
- Mentor junior staff and move toward Manager in a structured way
This is not a churn and burn environment. It is relationship led. Advisory focused. Grown up.
Who this suits- Someone operating comfortably at Tax Senior level within a CPA firm
- Confident reviewing work and speaking directly with clients
- CPA in progress or completed
- Interested in planning and broader advisory exposure
- Ready to build depth, not just volume
No one sensible is making impulsive moves in March.
If you want to see this busy season through properly, that is respected. In fact, it says a lot about you.
People are having conversations now with a view to starting after 4/15. It allows you to leave well, reset over the summer, and be properly embedded before the September and October deadlines.
That is how grown professionals move.
Compensation remains $85,000 to $100,000 depending on experience and CPA progress.
If you are ready for tax to feel more connected to real financial decisions, not just filing deadlines, this is worth a confidential conversation.
How to apply(without the fuss)

Prefer the human touch? Call me: . If the platform hides it, I’m Alex Alcock (Distinct) on Linked In. I’m around from 6am CST and after 5pm CST.
Only at ~87% of the spec? Perfect. Apply anyway. The CPA firms I work with want interesting, capable people, not carbon copies.
Don’t overthink it. Worst case: a helpful chat about your next step. Best case: the role that gets you unstuck.
