CRE Origination Analyst - Bulge Bracket

Supporting our origination efforts, this position focuses on the analysis and execution of potential commercial real estate debt transactions across the US. Working closely alongside senior originations, legal and credit professionals, Origination Analysts interact with potential borrowers and brokers to assist in sourcing, evaluating and structuring new debt investment opportunities.

• Coordinate the day-to-day originations deal traffic from a series of origination relationships. Proactively and independently manage work flow of the initial evaluation and structuring potential lending opportunities.
• Participate in periodic production meetings with originations team and senior management to discuss specific deal status as well as overall deal flow and market conditions.
• Provide exceptional and proactive relationship and customer support to covered accounts and potential transaction partners.
• Coordinate the evaluation of debt offering memorandums for commercial real estate transactions. Research key real estate and economic market data as part of investment decision making. Prepare summaries including complex real estate financial modeling. Present those summaries to origination team leaders and senior management.
• Effectively coordinate and manage external due diligence resources and information sources.
• Assist underwriting, legal, asset management and other resources in due diligence, securitization and other activities, as necessary.

• 1-3 years of experience in commercial real estate or financial analysis experience
• Elementary knowledge of basic real estate, mortgage, accounting and finance principals
• Self-motivated, team oriented, and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing and communication skills; able to interface with clients including their top level executives.
• Strong writing skills with ability to communicate analytical data effectively.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
• Ability to be an independent worker with a team player attitude.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
• Intermediate working knowledge of Outlook and Excel.
• Working knowledge of economic and real estate market information sources.
