Description
  • Manage the loan portfolio for the Division ensuring credit quality and risks are accurately assessed.
  • Supervise and provide underwriting guidance to loan officers and credit analysts.
  • Review credit memos underwritten by loan officers and credit analysts.
  • Review the loans in accordance with bank’s credit policies, product guidelines, and banking regulations.
  • Underwrite larger and complex loans.
  • Maintain constant communications to discuss Division’s loan portfolio to determine any potential credit risks with loan officers, relationship manager, portfolio group manager, and credit administration on a regular basis
  • Supervise and provide training/mentoring to lending staff/team and other assistance to the portfolio group manager
  • Investigate and follow-up on significant changes in status of existing customers; meet with customers on a needed basis and outline appropriate bank services and resolve problems as necessary; assist in the organization of the department, coordinating available resources (e.g., staff, materials, etc.) for maximum results; and recommending suitable streamlining and cost reduction and/or income generation approaches for the division
  • Ensure implementation and compliance to meet lending and other applicable banking requirements
  • Comply with the Bank’s security program, including but not limited to:
    • Review and comply with the End-User Computing Agreement
    • Acquire good knowledge on functions and usage of computer systems as related to the assigned job functions.
    • Be current and knowledgeable in industry’s trend in safeguarding the Bank against confidential data leak, identity theft, fraudulent activities, and computer security threats.
    • Reports suspicious activities to manager, Chief Risk Officer or Information Security Officer.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting/finance or Equivalent experience in related fields

    Minimum 7 years of experience in banking and three years in a management position.

    Ability to analyze and organize financial information and perform complex financial calculations.

    Detailed knowledge of banking regulations and laws; compliance documentation, and reporting requirements.
