The Collections & Cash App Senior manager oversees the end-to-end process of post-billing accounts receivable activities for both DFAS and non-DFAS customers. The leader will provide enterprise wide oversight and strategic direction for both DFAS and non DFAS collections and cash application processes, ensuring timely, accurate posting of receivables, and AR subledger reconciliation to the general ledger. The role will maintain precise customer account data in partnership with the Invoice & Billing and Contract Close Out teams, monitor billing queues, resolve systemic delays, discrepancies, and misapplied cash issues, and drive cross training to build flexibility across collections functions.
Leveraging data, analytics, and performance metrics, the leader will produce executive and operational level reporting on payment behavior, cash flow risk, trends, compliance concerns, and improvement opportunities, applying benchmarking and trend analysis to support working capital optimization and investment decisions while escalating material risks to senior leadership. A key responsibility is to design and enforce governance frameworks, controls, and policy compliance—including post billing standards, documentation retention, and audit readiness—by collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Accounting to guide policy interpretation on collections, write offs, and cash application.
As the primary strategic partner, the leader will define the long term vision and roadmap for Collections & Cash Application aligned with OTC strategy, 1
LMX, GFS Reinvention, and corporate values, partnering with Invoice & Billing, Treasury, FP&A, IT, and Business Areas to integrate initiatives across the organization.
