Senior Accountant

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Senior Accountant in Dallas, TX area! The candidate will maintain financial records and ensure financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP. This position ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger, reconciles complex balance sheets accounts, prepares financial reports and flux analysis, and also analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses.

• Guide, review, and provide backup support for AR and AP transactions in compliance with GAAP
• Produce the daily sales and cash report
• Maintain and update the chart of accounts and accounting master data
• Manage fixed assets, capital expenditures, and related reporting
• Summarize and communicate production schedules and inventory status to accounting
• Coordinate BOM reviews to ensure costing accuracy and completeness
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and data integrity across all accounting activities
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures
• Lead the monthly close process according to the established calendar and timeline
• Ensure timely closing of all functional modules (AR, AP, Production, Inventory, etc.)
• Reconcile AR, AP, and Inventory subledger reports to the general ledger
• Reconcile bank statements and cash activity
• Review and approve monthly schedules, including amortization and accruals
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Produce monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
• Perform preliminary variance and fluctuation analysis
• Develop and update annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Measure operational and financial performance and provide actionable insights
• Prepare costing analyses to support pricing and sales decisions
• Assist in maintaining accounting dashboards and performance metrics
• Partner with procurement and plant management to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses and reports for senior management
• Research accounting guidance for complex transactions (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842)
• Support preparation of accounting memos and standard procedures
• Assist in training staff on accounting principles and techniques
• Support the annual audit process
• Prepare statutory reports and ensure timely filing of applicable taxes

• Bachelor's degree required
• CPA preferred
• 4+ years experience as staff accountant
• Demonstrated understanding and application of GAAP principles in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience in financial reporting and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated understanding and oversight of AR, AP & PO processes.
• Microsoft Business Central ERP system experience and EDI experience preferred.
