About the Role As aJunior Loan Officer, this position will provide foundational support to our Senior Loan Officers in the origination, processing, and administration of hard money lending transactions. The Junior Loan Officer is responsible for coordinating documentation, facilitating borrower and broker communication, and assisting in preliminary loan evaluations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Processing
  • Support the full loan origination process by collecting, reviewing, and organizing borrower, property, and financial documentation in accordance with company standards
Client Communication
  • Serve as point of contact for borrowers and brokers by providing timely updates, coordinating required information, and ensuring clarity throughout all stages of the loan process
Risk Assessment
  • Assist senior staff in the preliminary evaluation of borrower profiles, collateral assets, and transaction structures to confirm alignment with established underwriting and risk parameters
Compliance
  • Ensure all loan files, internal communications, and supporting documents adhere to regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedural guidelines
Pipeline & Workflow Management
  • Maintain accurate deal tracking within internal systems, support the management of active pipelines, and assist in fostering positive relationships with both prospective and existing clients
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent professional experience in real estate finance will be considered
  • Comprehensive knowledge of loan origination, hard money lending, real estate finance, collateral valuation, private lending products, investor requirements, and applicable regulatory considerations
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, real estate markets, and risk assessment principles
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Hubspot or comparable systems)
  • Advanced sales and marketing capabilities with a proven ability to develop and maintain a strong, sustainable pipeline
