- Bonus:

A multibillion-dollar, publicly traded organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Property Tax to take full ownership of the property tax function across a large, multi-state footprint.
This is a highly visible role designed for someone who wants to operate as a true partner to the business, not just a technical tax lead. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to influence strategy, improve processes, and drive value with a clear, path to Director.
Key Responsibilities- Take end-to-end ownership of the property tax function, including compliance, accruals, forecasting, and payments
- Serve as a strategic partner to Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Operations, helping guide decision-making and optimize outcomes
- Oversee multi-state property tax processes across a complex, high-volume environment
- Develop and manage property tax budgets and forecasts, including cash flow planning and visibility for leadership
- Perform and present variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast/prior periods) with actionable insights
- Lead property tax appeal strategy, managing third-party consultants and driving results across jurisdictions
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of tax reporting, filings, and internal controls
- Identify and implement process improvements and scalable solutions to enhance efficiency and transparency
- Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory changes, advising leadership on potential impact
- Support audits and act as a key liaison with external auditors and service providers
- Mentor and develop team members, contributing to overall team growth and future leadership bench
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- 5+ years of property tax experience, ideally within a large, multi-entity environment
- Strong knowledge of multi-state property tax compliance, appeals, and reporting
- Experience managing external tax vendors and consultants
- Background in a public company or similarly complex environment preferred
- Strong analytical and financial insight capabilities
- Ability to operate as both a hands-on leader and strategic advisor
- Excellent communication skills with experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and ownership
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership mindset with a desire to progress into a Director-level role
