Position Summary
The Commercial Portfolio Manager II will be familiar with the relationships/borrowers in their loan portfolio, proactively managing the assigned portfolio to ensure adherence to credit policy, including completing various required actions, such as, perform preliminary financial analysis, address industry risks, collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing.
Duties & Responsibilities- Interact with customers independently to address routine and non‑routine client servicing matters in addition to risk‑related items.
- Prepare call plans and relationship reviews for individual and joint calls to prospects, clients, and COIs.
- Identify and make referrals to other business lines and departments.
- Collaborate and communicate with internal/external clients regarding both sensitive and routine matters.
- Engage in external networking and community involvement.
- Make presentations on specific loans and participate in the bank’s loan approval process.
- Offer approval recommendation based on credit structure fundamentals.
- Grow existing relationships through increased borrowings, deposits, and cash management, and cross‑sell into Wealth Management and Personal banking.
- Negotiate credit transactions.
- Service existing customer relationships to maximize profitability.
- Analyze and evaluate new Commercial Real Estate and Home builder Finance opportunities.
- Evaluate and analyze borrower financial statements and collateral reports.
Knowledge Of
- Strong understanding of credit fundamentals, loan structuring, monitoring, bank policy, and compliance.
- Real Estate Analytics and Credit Metrics.
- Needs‑based sales and customer service skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to gather pertinent information and make recommendations for new opportunities.
- Staying abreast of industry and market trends.
- Analyzing and interpreting numerical data.
- Performing duties with frequent interruptions and time pressures in highly interruptive conditions.
- Requires a 4‑year college degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
- Requires 3‑5 years of banking, finance or sales‑related experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in credit analysis or underwriting preferred.
- Familiarity with Home builder Finance and/or Commercial Real Estate transactions preferred.
Salary offered is based on factors including but not limited to job duties, required qualifications, and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
(Base Pay Range: $98,000 - $127,000/year)
