As a UHNW Wealth Advisor, Senior Manager you’ll lead a team of Senior Wealth Advisors serving high‑net‑worth clients with $5M–$15M in managed assets. Vanguard’s Wealth Management business stands apart through its client‑first ownership structure, long‑term investment philosophy, and ability to deliver a suite of solutions including planning, investments, estate planning and trust solutions, private equity, and more.
This role is based in our Dallas, Texas office, follows a hybrid working model, and offers relocation assistance for candidates who live 50+ miles away.
Responsibilities- Coach and support a team of Senior Wealth Advisors in the Dallas office, helping them strengthen financial planning capabilities, deepen client relationships, and navigate complex client needs.
- Partner with advisors to thoughtfully design and execute client and book‑of‑business strategies that strengthen relationships, improve retention, and support sustainable growth through referrals and net new assets.
- Use strong financial planning and capital markets acumen to help advisors translate market conditions and client goals into clear, practical strategies.
- Expand the impact of Vanguard’s new regional wealth management model with strategies that create high‑impact virtual interactions as well as select in‑person gestures and client engagements.
- Share insights from advisor and client experiences to help shape broader Wealth Management strategy and continuously improve how we serve clients.
- Navigate ambiguity with confidence, leveraging your network and resources to get up to speed quickly, while building community, sharing perspectives, and leading in a way that’s authentic to you.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing financial advisors or other client‑facing professionals, supported by 8+ years of related financial services or advisory experience and a strong ability to coach, mentor, and elevate performance through consultative growth.
- Deep financial planning and capital markets expertise, with the judgment and confidence to guide advisors and engage with clients through complex planning and investment decisions.
- Proven ability to strengthen client relationships and guide thoughtful book‑of‑business strategies that drive strong, long‑term client outcomes.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to contribute to client and business strategy and influence how the Wealth Management business evolves.
- A self‑directed leadership approach, with comfort operating in ambiguity, learning quickly, and leveraging relationships and resources to move work forward.
- Strong communication and influence skills, with the ability to partner across teams and lead through change with clarity and empathy.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degrees welcomed.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation preferred.
- This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role‑specific duties.
