Position: Senior Associate- Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting (CFO Services)

Senior Associate – Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting (CFO Services)

Provide outsourced CFO support to hedge funds and private equity clients, managing financial operations, reporting, and collaboration with auditors, administrators, and service providers. Deliver financial analysis, model creation, and process improvements while ensuring accurate accounting practices, investor reporting, and fund management oversight.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with auditors, administrators, HR/payroll, and other service providers while delivering outsourced CFO services.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients, providing daily operational support and participating in ad‑hoc projects, including financial modeling and analysis.
  • Review NAVs, allocations, investor statements, reconciliations, expense schedules, management fee calculations, and incentive allocations to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare fund and management company financial statements, maintain accounting practices, research accounting principles, and advise clients on improvements.
  • Coordinate client onboarding tasks such as opening brokerage and bank accounts, while arranging and participating in regular conference calls to support engagement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA designation preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in the alternative investment management industry; public accounting experience considered a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
  • Self‑starter who is dedicated, punctual, and personable, thriving in dynamic entrepreneurial environments.
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills, problem‑solving ability, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Quick Books, Open Air, , and Expensify is an advantage.
