Finance Associate – Global Transportation Finance - Chicago, Los Angeles, or Dallas

About the Role

This firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its Global Transportation Finance team in Chicago, Los Angeles, or Dallas. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in transactional finance and a strong background in financing, leasing, acquisition, and restructuring transactions involving aviation, rail, maritime, and other equipment assets.

What You’ll Do

Work on complex domestic and international transactions involving asset-based finance, structured finance, and secured lending

Handle transactions related to aviation, maritime, rail, and other transportation sectors

Draft and negotiate finance and leasing agreements, credit facilities, and security agreements

Collaborate with senior attorneys and participate in business development initiatives

Manage multiple deals simultaneously, coordinating across global jurisdictions and industry sectors

What We’re Looking For

J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials

2-5 years of transactional finance experience in a law firm setting

Experience in structured finance, leveraged finance, capital markets, maritime, private equity, project finance, real estate finance, or aviation finance is a plus

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

Admission to practice in the applicable jurisdiction (or in the process of obtaining admission)

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
