Investment Banking Vice President - Industrials M&A

Locations: Chicago, New York, Dallas, or Houston

We are partnered with a prestigious mid‑market investment bank to identify a Vice President to join its Industrials M&A platform. This role is focused on advising middle‑market clients across a broad range of industrial subsectors and offers strong deal exposure within an active, execution‑driven environment.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a Vice President looking to continue building transaction leadership experience at a firm with a strong middle‑market presence and consistent deal flow. The role provides meaningful exposure to senior bankers and clients, with the expectation that the VP plays a key role in day‑to‑day deal execution, process management, and junior banker development.

The firm has an established Industrials franchise and a collaborative culture that values hands‑on execution, ownership of work streams, and long‑term career development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute middle‑market M&A transactions across the Industrials sector
  • Manage deal processes from kick‑off through closing, including modeling, diligence, and client deliverables
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for analysts and associates, providing mentorship and oversight
  • Interface directly with clients, legal advisors, and counter parties throughout transaction life cycles
  • Support senior bankers in business development efforts and pitch execution
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5-8 years of total investment banking experience
    , currently at the Senior Associate or VP level
  • Background at a reputable middle‑market investment bank or elite boutique
    , with significant middle‑market M&A exposure
  • Strong transaction execution skill set with experience running day‑to‑day deal processes
  • Industrials M&A experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Chicago, New York, Dallas, or Houston
